Michael Levinger is an information technology and healthcare senior executive and multi-time entrepreneur specializing in the successful creation, deployment and use of mission-critical software including EHR and HIT. He is on the faculty of Boston University where he teaches a masters degree course on Electronic Health Records and serves as the Health IT “Ask the Expert” for Pri-Med, a leading provider of physician continuing medical education. Mike is also a member of the Massachusetts eHealth Institute Ad Hoc workgroup on Health IT Workforce Development. Previously, Mike was President and CEO of Concordant, a Massachusetts-based Electronic Health Record consulting and systems integration company. Under Mike’s leadership, Concordant helped numerous physician practices and healthcare delivery organizations implement EHR deployment programs.

Tim Perkins brings more than twenty years of enterprise marketing and sales operations experience to his role as a founder of The HIT Community. Prior to forming The HIT Community, Tim worked with health information technology clients to provide strategic marketing services through his company, CMOoutsourcing. In addition, Tim has extensive background with enterprise software and includes Chief Marketing Officer for Metatomix, VP of Sales & Marketing of Proactivity, and executive positions with enterprise software firms Infinium Software (Software 2000), POINT Information Systems, and McCormack & Dodge.
Laura Polas

Laura brings twenty-five years of experience to Digital Collaboration Solutions in planning and executing integrated communications, media, and marketing programs that build community and awareness, inspire collaboration, engage members, and educate professionals. Laura manages the overall content and marketing strategy for DCS and their inaugural healthcare solution, The HIT Community (HITC) and works closely with all DCS and HITC customers on their collaboration and community building strategies. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing at the Human Capital Institute (HCI) where she managed corporate communications, marketing, and membership engagement for all business lines including the communities of practice, leadership education, industry research, and national and regional events. Prior to joining HCI, Laura was the head of marketing for Clarkston Consulting, an information technology and management consulting firm in the life sciences and consumer products industries and has held other consulting, marketing, and sales roles in the professional services and technology industries. Laura holds a BSBA from the Williamson School of Business, Youngstown State University.
